Let us throw off everything that hinders
and the sin that so easily entangles,
and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus.

God, give me eyes to see,
the race that You marked out for me.
And when I fall down, I'll look to my God
who gives me strength rise, strength to rise.

Every hurdle that I face,
is part of God's plan for my race.
And when I'm tired, I look to the finish line,
where Jesus is my prize, He is my prize.

Once upon a time, before the earth that we know,
when light first appeared and trees started to grow,
the animals, they got along, the air was pure,
to walk and talk with the Creator was the highest allure.

It was a magical life for the man and his wife;
it was original man, living original plan.
They bought the enemy's spin, enter original sin,
the universe cried out in horror as the nightmare begins.

Now, from China to Nairobi, Spain to Colorado,
we're living and we're breathing in the Valley of the Shadow;
slaves to twisted thinking like Israelites to Pharaoh.
But light came from the darkness to show the path that's narrow.

He's gonna light up the sky like the Fourth of July.
If our reply is to believe, we live and won't die.
Love for hate, joy for pain, from the floor up to the rafters,
that's why it aint the shadow it's the substance that I'm after.
I wanna run.

I want to run the race He's given me.
